Just came across this little gem from Andrew and Morten over at Air War Publications, which is very seasonal, and I though readers might enjoy seeing how seriously the German armed forces took their Christmas cheer.

While it would be fair to note that there wasn’t much else to be cheerful about, given that the next day the Axis forces would have to withdraw from the Gazala position, it is nevertheless interesting to see the lengths commands went to, to keep up morale.
I highly recommend spending some time on the Air War Publications site. They also have some fine eArticles on desert-related matters.
