Stop that Tank (1942)

While mildly amusing as a piece of history, it is important to note that propaganda used to (as it does today) produce utter garbage with no relation to the real world.

Probably about a year before this little gem was produced to shore up feelings on the homefront, the British army collected information from the field, in this case the Greek campaign, which laconically summed up the performance of the Boys anti-tank rifle as follows:

ANTI-TANK RIFLE (Boys)

“Were found to be useless against the light tanks or heavier A.F.V.s”
